Mgr. Tomáš Sedláček

Experience, Legal Specialization: The main focus and domain of the professional expertise of Mr. Tomáš Sedláček, Lawyer at the firm, are capital markets, structured finance (including various types of credit financing), banking, financial and commercial law (including, but not limited to, acquisition and the relationships of obligation). A major part of his work is dedicated to professional counseling relating to securities and financial and commodity derivatives, as well as preparation and negotiation of the associated legal documentation. In this connection Tomáš Sedláček became a member of the ISDA Central and Eastern Europe Committee. Apart from other things, the drafting and negotiating of both standard loan facility (bilateral and syndicated) and alternative financing and debt instrument documentation (such as credit linked notes, asset linked notes, levarage financing, asset backed financing, etc.) constitutes a significant part of his work.

In 2003, with his colleagues Mr. Tomáš Otruba and Mr. Petr Mlejnek, he acted as advisor on the structuring of securitisation transaction methods and the preparation of the relevant documentation. It was the first ever rated and completed securitisation not only in the Czech Republic, but in the whole of Central and Eastern Europe. In addition to the above, Mr. Tomáš Sedláček acted as legal counsel in respect of a wide number of interesting projects and transactions, including loan facilities, structured finance transactions, debt and share issues, purchase and subsequent financing of several aircrafts. In 2007 Mr. Tomáš Sedláček lead the team of lawyers which structured and successfully executed for the PPF group the largest bond issue which was listed on the Prague Stock Exchange.

Mr. Tomáš Sedláček lectures at the Law Fakulty of Charles University and is an author of a number of articles relating to the above areas of law.
