A number of representatives attended the meeting of the American Bar Association (ABA) including representative of the Moscow Bar Association Mr. Henry Reznik, President of the Federal Bar Mr. Evgeny Semeniako, Vice-president of the International Union of Advocates and BBH Legal LLC, Partner Akhmed Glashev. The representatives were invited by the American ambassador to the reception and BBH was presented to many foreign and Russian lawyers, politicians and businessmen.

Jiří Němec, BBH Partner and General Director of BBH Legal LLC, and Tomáš Pešek, BBH Senior Lawyer, attended a business mission to Moscow with the participation of representatives of other significant domestic and foreign companies acting in the Czech market to attend "Prague Days in Moscow". This business development excursion was held on October 14th - October 17th, 2007 and organized by "Komora pro hospořské styky se SNS". At the head of this significant assembly was the mayor of Prague, Pavel Bém, and other representatives of the town council of Prague. One component of the mission was a conference entitled "Prague - Moscow: Mutually Beneficial Cooperation" where the participants of the mission had the opportunity to meet with representatives of the government of the Russian Federation, representatives of the management of the city of Moscow and russian business people and mutually discuss investment and export possibilities for Czech companies in Moscow and the territory of the Russian Federation as well as to obtain business contacts and information about possible business cooperation with local partners and others. Conference "Prague - Moscow: Mutually Beneficial Cooperation"

October 12, 2007, at the premises of the Czech Bar Association in Prague, an international conference was held with the Czech Bar Association, the Moscow Bar Association and the Slovak Bar Association. The conference concentrated particularly on the opportunities for future cooperation between the three associations. BBH was one of the organizers of the conference and Akhmed Glashev, BBH Legal LLC Partner together with Petr Holešínský, BBH Senior Lawyer lectured on their paper, "Interference of the State in Independent Advocacy". Weekly magazine EURO New Partner in Russia

This open forum panel discussion was held on March 6, 2007 at the Corinthia Towers Hotel in Prague. Participants in the panel discussion were hosted by Dr. Jiří Němec, LLM, Partner of BBH and Managing Director of the BBH Legal office in Moscow and Jan Petřík, Managing Partner of BBH. The theme was Legislative and legal continuity in connection with entry into the Russian market. Jiří Němec (i.a.), among others, detailed the future plans and main specializations of the Moscow branch, and he informed the participants about problems that may arise in connection with the establishment of a company in Russia and what are the main steps are to ensure the proper functioning of the company. Jan Petřík introduced a transaction case study related to Russian Real Estate Law in which BBH was involved 2 years ago. This transaction concerned the purchase of land in the suburbs of Moscow.
